LGBT
This is a work created in support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex movement to lend support to actions aimed at changing the social perception of sexual minorities.
One doesn't need to be homosexual to convey this message, nor be a woman to be a feminist, nor be a person of color to fight against racism.
The freedom to be oneself is a fundamental societal issue that must be defended by everyone.
In his contemplation to create this painting, HBomba raises the question of homophobia, its origin, and its foundation.
Homophobia is in no way a tolerance issue. Tolerating differences does not mean accepting them.
According to the artist, homophobia stems from a lack of discernment between an established norm and one's own sexuality.
In other words, considering homosexuality merely as a sexual practice is at the heart of the problem.
Thus, through the transformation of Robert Indiana's "LOVE" into "LGBT," the audience is invited to perceive homosexuality as love rather than merely a sexual act.
